Everyone keeps asking me why Playmates Toys is not trying to work with me... I will give you their explanation. Even though the entire thing has been negated as they did decide to use my designs... Just not with me. Hi Malachi, I did receive the form and images. While I think your work is awesome, I don’t think there is anything here that we can manufacture given our pricing limitations. As we discussed previously, unfortunately, we are limited in what we can sell in the mass market place by consumer demand and price point. While we could copy what you’ve done and add the decoration and added accessories, unfortunately, the added deco and accessories would price the toys out of the market. In fact, Walmart, Target and Toys R Us wouldn’t even consider these toys at the price points we would have to charge for them. What you’ve done belongs in the specialty/collector market, where you can charge a higher price but has a much smaller consumer base and is not the audience we are targeting with our Turtle toy line. I mean no disrespect as I think your work is outstanding, but I don’t see anything here that we could sell in our target market. Regards, Pat
