Everyone seems to like a lovable pooch - The one I posted is my lil ole Ariedale - Isabelle! Shes my best girl - and at times tries to be my boss! SHes stubborn - but shes lovable! And now lets get you caught up with some music news! Paul McCartney says George Harrison helped him overcome any anger he had towards Yoko Ono following her decision to not let him rearrange the credits to Yesterday on The Beatles Anthology. George would say to me, You dont want stuff like that hanging around in your life. Instead of the credits saying Lennon and McCartney, he wanted it to be McCartney and Lennon. While McCartney has forgiven Yoko, the one person he says he can never forgive is Mark David Chapman, who killed John Lennon on December 8th, 1989. Whether it was evil or just deranged — it was unforgivable, I think I could pretty much forgive anyone else. But I dont see why Id want to forgive him. Some bad news regarding the Macs John McVie... Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie has been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and will commence treatment next month. As a result, the band has canceled its tour of Australia and New Zealand. In a statement the band says, We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates. We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best.” McVie joined the band in 1967 and, along with Mick Fleetwood, has been a mainstay ever since. Looking for some investment property in Scotland - how about a nice farm currently owned by a fromer Beatle? Paul McCartney is reportedly scaling back on his real estate holdings -- his farm in Mull of Kintyre, Scotland is reportedly on the market. Reports say hes told his staff there that their services will no longer be needed after this year and that he wants to discuss new ways to manage the land with the Forestry Commission. McCartney hasnt spent much time on the 600-acre farm following the death of his first wife, Linda, in 1998, and the house has fallen into a state of some disrepair. Macca bought High Park Farm in 1966, and it was there that he wrote some of his first songs following the break-up of The Beatles. Photos of him and his family taken there are featured on his first solo album, McCartney. In addition to Scotland, McCartney owns two homes in England, two in New York, one in Los Angeles and one in Arizona. Looking to broaden your musical horizon?? Robert Plant has some suggestions! Emerson, Lake and Palmer dont seem to be in any rush to reunite -- so instead of re-releasing their catalog again or putting out another best-of, theyve turned to publishing limited-edition, hand-signed lithographs of the cover to their 1970 debut album. Keith Emerson says, Im extremely proud that the first ELP album cover has been turned into such a high-quality fine-art print. And Greg Lake adds, I have a particular fondness for this painting, as to me it represents the dove of peace emerging from a man’s thoughts. The cover was created by British artist Nic Dartnell, who went on to work with Genesis, Peter Gabriel and Spirit. Limited to 600 copies, the lithographs are going for $325. New old music from the Band! What makes the recent release of The Bands four-CD/DVD box set of their four 1971 shows at the Academy of Music in New York so special for Robbie Robertson is not only did he finally get to mix it the way he wanted to, but it also shows the group at a high point... Live at the Academy of Music 1971 features new stereo and 5.1 Surround-Sound mixes, including 19 previously unreleased performances and newly discovered footage of two songs. The collection’s first two discs feature performances of every song played over the course of the four concerts, and the New Year’s Eve soundboard mix on discs three and four puts you in the theater for that entire legendary night, which included a surprise appearance by Bob Dylan on four songs -- Down in the Flood, When I Paint My Masterpiece, Don’t Ya Tell Henry and Like a Rolling Stone. Gregg Allman has some new tunes comin out... Before releasing Low Country Blues in 2011, Gregg Allman hadnt released a solo album in 14 years. But it wont be that long for his next one -- hell start recording again in December with producer T-Bone Burnett, who produced the last one. However, the same cant be said for the Allman Brothers, whose drummer, Butch Trucks, tells us it has gotten to the point where it is just not economically feasible for us to even go in the studio. The Brothers last studio album was 2003s Hittin the Note. Great buffets and great music - its a Win Win when you book the Rock Legends Cruise!
