Everything happens for a reason. A few weeks ago I scheduled a follow-up appt with my orthopedic surgeon for today. I scheduled it for 2:15 in the afternoon but when I got their email reminder over the weekend it said 10:15 am. I never schedule morning appts and I wrote 2:15 on my calendar when I scheduled it. I couldnt call them because it was the weekend so I called them first thing this morning. They were booked solid all afternoon so I was stuck with 10 15. It is a good 45 min drive and today I decided to take a different route than I normally would take. I ended up behind a small silver car and noticed there was something sitting on the trunk and as I got closer I could see it was a purse. I flashed my lights...beeped the horn...waved my arms but the car kept going. All of a sudden they hit a little bump in the road and the purse flew off the trunk into the road. They kept going so I stopped and walked back and picked it up. When I got to my appt I got the owners name and address and lucky for them..they still have a landline and I was able to call the owner. Turns out it was her husband driving to take her car to the mechanic for some work. She was so thankful...even though she didnt even realize it was missing. I will drop it off to her on my way back home. :-)
