Exactly! I always have people say to me watch Emma, shes about to go down the stairs....or...watch that she doesnt crush her fingers. Please realize that I AM watching, and I know my kid better than anyone. We let her fall so she can get back up herself. We used to let her catch her fingers in drawers, and now she knows how to move them out of the way. She can go down and up the stairs because she knows to hold on to the rail. Kids need the bumps and bruises to learn how not to get bumps and bruises!
