Exactly a month ago, I was polishing up the last essay (of many) to submit with an application and two reference letters to Alliance Defending Freedoms Collegiate Academy, a competitive summer law camp for young believers aspiring to a legal career. I pressed submit on a wing and a prayer, knowing the acceptance rate was strict (17%) and the applicant pool was filled with brilliant young people from around the country. Today, I received word from the academy that, after evaluation of their most competitive applicant pool to this date, I have been placed on the expedited waiting list to be contacted immediately if a position becomes available among the 60 accepted. Thank God, my family and my two recommenders for taking me this far. Also, pray that a spot opens!
