An opportunity has arisen to be involved in an internship project commencing early 2014 where you can receive credit towards your degree. Specifically, the project will involve the following: • Research all tax and royalty aspects associated with the petroleum industry in Australia • Research relevant accounting procedures relating to the petroleum industry in Australia • Research and recommend leading edge modelling tools that could be used e.g. GAMS (used in banking economic models) • Preparation of a modelling tool to perform economic and profit calculations for petroleum assets in Australia • Ensure flexibility to enable tax and royalty regimes from different countries to be added at a later stage • Customise model input and output to meet the needs of the organisation Please note, to be eligible for this opportunity you must be eligible to enrol in RBUS 3999 (undergraduate) or RBUS 7999 (post-graduate) in Semester 1, 2014.
