Excepting tonights show at The Mix in San Antonio and returning some rented gear my SXSW is done. My heart goes out to the victims, family and friends of the utterly senseless and manifestly selfish crime that took place in front of The Mohawk on Wednesday night. I dont really view what happened as being specific to SXSW but rather an unfortunate confluence of circumstance. If the man arrested is as guilty as he appears to be I hope he spends the rest of his life and jail, his name is forgotten and that he doesnt receive additional notoriety as a rapper when he is in fact simply a criminal. Beyond the news of that incident, I had a load of fun. I got to see many friends from around the world. My croaking voice says I probably played a couple of times too many. Thanks to Jonie Hell for coming out of retirement and spelling Lance to allow us to successfully complete yesterdays unreasonable schedule. It is a pleasure to know and work with all of you.
