Exciting News: Canyon View Assisted Living Center Approved--Construction Expected to Begin Spring 2015 The North Ogden Planning Commission conditionally approved the Canyon View Assisted Living Center, located in the southwest pocket of our city at approximately 200 E and 1700 N (west of Saccos Produce and the old Country Boy Dairy). Construction is expected to begin next Spring. One of the best features of this development is that 1700 North will finally be cut through from Washington Blvd. to the west, providing another point of access to Mystery Meadows subdivision. This is a fantastic 8 acre development for our city, and will consist of a central assisted living and memory care center, and 23 cottage units for independent living. This development represents approximately $15-20 million dollars of investment into our community and will create about 75 high-quality, full-time jobs. The architect for the project is a nationally-recognized firm that has designed many aesthetically pleasing similar projects (ankrommoisan/), and the design will be attractive and will be a good fit for the surrounding neighborhood. The facility will be bordered on the north and west by single-family neighborhoods, and on the east by commercial uses. North Ogden city planner Rob Scott and his staff did a fantastic job steering this project through the approval process. We are looking forward to welcoming this beautiful facility to our community next year!
