Exercise to Improve Knee ROM and Strength to Combat a Torn Meniscus The following exercises with illustrations and video on how to perform are some of the ones performed in the initial phases of physical therapy following a knee injury. As you begin to progress and these exercises become easier, more advanced exercises can be added to further challenge the knee. Strengthening the surrounding structures to the knee will help take pressure off of the meniscus and provides better support for the knee as a whole.
