Exhausted and voice is gone...but very appreciative to ALL who took part in last nights domestic violence event last night. The music was something absolutely amazing by so much talent including Michael and Lamar McKenzie, Kenny Suire, Marion Drive which is made up of extremely talented Keith Salisbury Chad Fuller Larry Upchurch & Jason Williams. And the performance by Gypsy Carns has me still speechless! It wasnt all rock & roll as we were there to honor survivors and victims of domestic violence with a special moving video tribute created by Steve Moore of Jim Myrick honoring his sister Sandra Bouder who sadly lost her life at the age of 42 to the brutal hands of domestic violence in the worst way. I hope Sandra felt the love we were there to show. Special thanks to the Brickhouse Bar Grill for the venue and the Restaurant Manager, Darla Welch for the amazing feast she prepared! Thank you to all who donated items for door prizes and silent auction. Which Keith Salisbury really rocked as an emcee also! The night would not have been possible without the love of the women of AYP and all women who showed up to take part! Thank you to all the men who showed crazy support for victims by rocking purple boas all night! The incredible AYP admin team of Robb Hudson Adrienne Coley DisonDave Dave Mathena and Gene Bond were absolute angels who are 100% with me in all this event was and could not have happened without their individual contributions! Special thanks to some angels who volunteered their time working the event namely my sister Kathy Booth Mathis Lisa Covington Matthew Smith Joe Roberts on security.Thank you to WTOK for coveting this event and helping to share this important message . I am exhausted so please forgive me if I have not included someone. Lastly William E. Arlinghaus support has been priceless. Domestic violence is all around us folks! Keep speaking. No more hiding the ugly truth of it. We all deserve so much more in life! Take a stand! This was a step I hope! Thank you all!
