Expert Advice -- Where to Go My son is 3 1/2, the local school board offers free early intervention screening. And you can request a physiologist to be there for the (2 hour)evaluation as well. Last august I went and his diagnosis was developmental delay: speech and behavior the psychologist said there is nothing at this Time to suggest other problems. He received an IEP for speech and attend ese classes. He still has problems with certain noises, they dont have to be loud, he gets upset easily when overwhelmed. While his speech is improving Im still somewhat concerned... Who should I take him to for further evaluation? A regular pediatrician or a psychiatrist?
