Extension to offer new Wellness Ambassador Program Are you interested in health, nutrition, and being physically active? Do you want to help others be healthier? The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service is now taking applications for a new Extension Wellness Ambassador Program. The first of its kind offered in the state. This program will teach participants simple strategies to improve their own health and the health of their neighbors in Randolph County. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants. Following training and Extension Wellness Ambassador Certification, volunteers agree to give back 40 hours of service to help others live healthier. Final selection of participants will be made from applications and interviews. Apply now to be considered for the program. This program is open to persons 19 and older without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (large print, audiotapes, etc.) should notify the county Extension office (or other appropriate office) as soon as possible prior to the activity.
