Extracts - The Singapore Highway Code: KEEP LEFT RULE When youre driving along a two-way street, always keep to the left and as near to the left boundary of the road, except when you intend to overtake or turn right. Do not drive in the middle of the road and hog. This rule is also applicable for DUAL-CARRIAGEWAYS. ROAD HOGGING Road hogging is defined as driving on the road at an unreasonably slow speed, especially along the centre of the road or on the right-most lane. It is a rude practice that hinders the progressive flow of the traffic behind and may spur other frustrated or hasty drivers to resort to the dangerous action of overtaking on the left. Vehicles that are travelling at a slow speed should keep to the left side of the road - this includes lower capacity motorcycles, goods vehicles and lorries. The lane on the right should be used for overtaking, to turn right or to make a U-turn.
