Ezra 1:7,8 "King Cyrus brought out the articles of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods... and counted them." The record shows that all these articles were taken back to Jerusalem and not one was missing, they had been in Babylon for over 70 years. These are the some of the articles that Belshazzar attempted to use for his "before tears" party. This final act by Belshazzar did not only bring tears to his eyes but it closed them forever. God protected his holy vessels and when the captivity was over brought them back to Jerusalem intact. God holds you accountable for the body He has given you - he says it is holy, it is His. Enjoy the party and use the body as you wish, but wait I see a hand writing on the wall, who will help you with the interpretation?
