F/A-18 Flyover USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) Courtesy Video USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) An F/A-18D Hornet aircraft assigned to Marine all-weather Fighter Attack Squadron 242 flies a simulated landing pattern as part of forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richards (LHD 6) Precision Approach Landing System (PALS) certification. Sailors from Bonhomme Richards Amphibious Air Traffic Control Center (AATCC) and technicians from Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) controlled the aircraft through multiple instrument approaches while conducting the necessary tests to achieve PALS certification.
