*** FABULOUS AVERAGE SAFER *** A volunteer writes: To meet Shannon is to fall in love with her! In my case, I didnt even need to meet her - admiring from afar was all it took. She caught my eye when I was watching a doggie playgroup. While all of the other dogs were mingling, there she was - the most adorable black and white girl, cuddled up to a person on the bench. At one point the bench needed to be moved, so up and over it went and little Shannon stayed on for the ride, laying down and wagging her tail the whole time. She appears to be shy with other dogs, but not unfriendly. Spending one on one time with her has made me fall even harder for her! She is incredibly sweet and has such an innocence about her. She is very wiggly and when she comes over for petting she almost immediately flops over and enjoys a belly rub. She is very attentive and easy to handle on leash. She knows sit and takes treats VERY gently. Shannon keeps her cage clean and relieves herself immediately outside, so probably has housetraining. When I take her in the yard she shows fleeting interest in a tennis ball, preferring instead to get as close to me as she can - soaking up affection and playing. I think her nearly-constant soft eye contact and subtle under-bite could melt even the coldest of hearts, but its her gentle, loving nature that really makes Shannon so special.
