FACEBOOK X-COM PART 4 March 19, 2015: While the team mourn Nicholas Gomes death, and the alien he captured is secured in the newly-built containment chamber, the results of the gray autopsy are in. Chief boffin Dr. Wahlen has christened them Sectoids for some unknown reason, and says they are all perfect genetic copies of each other. More than that, their heads are chock full of implants designed to make them stronger. None of these things bode well for the aliens intentions here on Earth. As the captured sectoid is being prepped for interrogation, alarms go off. Alien abductions are happening in three places in the world, and we can only choose one of them. We figure Egypt has had enough of a tough time recently and assemble the team: Corporal Ruby Pope, Corporal Tim Glebocki, Recruit Dan Clarke II, and Squaddie Hannah Plant (1). The team start on a sort of stone statue garden overlooking a road and quickly encounter the foe. Tim lays down highly effective covering fire, killing one (2), and Ruby, with her new promotion ability to shoot anyone who anyone ELSE can see, kills the other from right across the map (3). One more is cowering behind a stone block, so Dan runs up and stuns it so we can capture its weapon (4). The team is moving forward when the last alien sticks its head around a corner below right into Tims overwatch. Overwatch is when you set someone to keep their eyes on an area and fire at anything that moves, and Tims reaction shot ends a textbook mission (5). But this is cool: Ruby and Tim are promoted to Sergeant, and both earn nicknames. Ruby is Lockdown; Tim, wounded for four days, is Hulk. Meanwhile, Dan Clarke II turns out to be a sniper at heart (6) while Tim gains a new suppression ability, allowing him to pin down enemies behind cover so that others can flank them. A few days later we get our first report from the shadowy UN Council which funds us. Though Canada and Brazil are in a bit of a state, the rest of the world is calm, and we get an A grade plus $375m to spend as we will. Then the results of the interrogation come through. Dr. Wahlens team were not able to communicate with the alien, so they took a more aggressive approach, drilling into its head with a series of probes (whos the real monster?!?). As electrical pulses were fired into different areas of brain, one thing became clear: a central place for the image of the freaky Outsider alien which gave us so much trouble at the crashed UFO in PART 2 (6). Our mission now must be to capture one of these Outsiders, and learn what it can tell us about the aliens plan. TO BE CONTINUED
