FACTION WARS UPDATE!!! Sign ups: There were two new recruits this week, that signed up for the cause. Brent has come back to Games Workshop, and signed up for the Imperium with his Space Wolves. I had Alex sign up for Imperium to be my proxy, representing my Grey Knights. With these two new recruits, that makes it 6 to 10 in the Apocalypse battle. Faction Wars Score: The score is Xenos 8 and Imperium 7. I forgot to tally up the points correctly for Imperium, when a Xenos player forfeited. He was to tired to play another game on Saturday night, giving Imperium their first 2 points, lol. So far, Imperium has not yet won an official battle. All points have been gained by: the realm of battle rule, Imperium vs Imperium battle rule, and 1 forfiet. Xenos! You may loose the Faction Wars just by Imperium simply showing up, lol. Battle Reports: First battle that you see from the third picture is, Matt (Tau) vs Zack (Space Wolves). It was an intense battle, that came down to the luck of the dice roll. When the Imperial Knight took down the Rip Tide; it explodeded, and its blast radius was going to hit Matts main troops. These troops were the heart of Matts regiment, and their death would spell for disaster. Unfortunately Zacks dice roll wasnt on his side, and the blast traveled away from Matts troops. With Matts troops still intact, he was able to take the table on the 7th turn. Matt put Tau on the board, and gained 2 points for Xenos. Fourth picture, was a battle between James (IG) vs Matt (Tau). It seemed at first that IG was going to win the battle, when one of Jamess tank took out Matts Rip Tide. This left Matt in a sticky situation, and left him with out any big guns. But; Matt had the luck of the dice roll on his side. Matt was rolling saves left and right, and he was rolling wounds like a mad man. James couldnt keep up, and wasnt getting the dice roll he needed to take out the Tau army. Once again Matt tabled another Imperial army, giving him 4 points for Xenos. Fifth and final picture; was a battle of two phantom players, who havent been in the store to play Warhammer since I started working at Games Workshop. It was great having you here at the Workshop, watching the both of you enjoying your hobby. Due to Brandons arrival, he did put a stop to Imperiums 1/2 point: realm of battle rule, and answered to the challenge. Now; the battle between, Brandon (Tyranid) vs Brent (Space Wolves). It was simply a battle of numbers, and the Tyranid army swarmed the Space Wolves. It was a blood bath, and the Tyranid devoured the Space Wolves. Putting the Tyranids on the board, giving Xenos 2 points. But; Imperium did gain 3 1/2 points, prior to Brandons arrival. It was a great week for the Faction Wars, and I look forward to the next.
