FAIRFIELD RANGER DISTRICT TO LIMIT ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO FIRES MEDIA ADVISORY Please Read and Share FAIRFIELD, ID. . . . On August 7, 2013 a series of lightning storms went across the Camas Prairie and started several wildland fires. The McCan Fire now estimated at 15,000 acres and the Beaver Creek Fire estimated at 12,000 acres. There are also new fires on the Boise National Forest in close proximity to the Fairfield Ranger District. Due to the danger associated with these fires, the limited access and remote nature of the area, all access to the Fairfield Ranger District will be closed. This will begin to take place immediately with road closures to be put in place on August 10, 2013. For the protection of the public and firefighters please do not try to get into the area.
