Now applying my Passing Thoughts of Faith… Genesis 41-45 DREAM (Dare to Recognize Everyone As your Messenger) Gen 41:37-39 Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his advisers. As they discussed who should be appointed for the job, Pharaoh said, “Who could do it better than Joseph? For he is a man who is obviously filled with the spirit of God.” Turning to Joseph, Pharaoh said, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, you are the wisest man in the land! I hearby appoint you to direct this project. You will manage my household and organize all my people. Only I will have a rank higher than yours.” [Of course, there’s a little déjà vu here, as Joseph was given a similar charge before being sent to prison. The ‘upgrade’ this time would come from him being given a wife, and not have to worry about being defamed. LOL] GOD (Given Opportunity: Deliver) Gen 45:5-7 “But don’t be angry with yourselves that you did this to me, for God did it. He sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives… God has sent me here to keep you and your families alive so that you will become a great nation. Yes, it was God who sent me here, not you!” [During this reading of the Bible I am looking to connect my acronyms to Scripture. In the process I found a poem to connect.] Gen 42:8-9, 43:23 Joseph’s brothers didn’t recognize him, but Joseph recognized them. And he remembered the dreams he had had many years before. He said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.” … “Relax. Don’t worry about it,” the household manager told them. “Your God, the God of your ancestors, must have put it there. We collected your money all right.” Then he released Simeon and brought him out to them. GIVING THANKS You wont recognize the Angel / His language will be too frank. When you really get Gods help You wont know who you should thank. So make your decision to give thanks now Keep Him worthy of your praise Dont try to figure out His motives \ For ours are not His ways. Have you wondered how you sounded asking for, while wasting life? Or have you simply taken for granted / that you can do as you please and not suffer consequence / until you get tired and decide to seek His help by reflex... call out His name by habit... question your penance? Have you lost your place on the Implementation Crew, forgetting that only He is on the Planning Committee, and blinded yourself with jealously and selfishness? Oh, my brethren, I beg that you do not surround yourself with the worldly misgivings and short comings that hoist you atop a throne that can no longer touch the hearts that call for your guidance. See, you wont recognize the Angel / Nor His concern for your health. When you really want Gods help / Let that Angel be yourself.
