FALSE TEACHER? It is widely reported, and I fear it could even be a fact, that Joel Osteen has recently stated that the apostles Paul, Peter, and John are outdated and wrong. If it is true that Osteen has said this, it is a rebuke not of the apostles alone but of God, whose Son chose the apostles and sent them, as well as using them to write the Holy Scriptures. If Osteen has said such a thing, it is the equivalent of denying the doctrine of Christ, and of distorting the scriptures of God. Of those who take the step of distorting the scriptures, Peter says the following in the third chapter of his second epislte: "14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures." I hope the reports are wrong. I recommend you look into this.
