FAMILY IN NEED. I just returned from a Service mission in the Philippines and met an amazing Family. I am dealing with some medical problems right now, but promised I would try and get their story out. The defect also known as blue baby Syndrome or dextrocardia a heart disease that only affects one in a million babies. So named because of the lack of oxygen, due to a deformation in the hearts vaulve. It is a miracle that he is still alive. Coming from a very poor finacial situation, a bamboo house and little income that her husband makes, his mother roamed the streets asking for help for her baby. His name is Putput Castro (Poo-Put) a regular teenage boy who loves greek mythology movies and music. (we talked alot, while my companion was sick). He was initially helped out by a lady in California, who brought him to UCLA, where they performed the ground breaking open heart surgery required to save his life. Inserting a Shunt into his heart, when he was a child which has allowed to him live for this long. But after desperate measures, his mother went abroad to work, and missed the second operation. And been trying to deal with the heart condition on her own with trips to manila, and are left heavily indebted with medical care that cannot meet the needs of her son. In his weaken state he is prone to sickness barely recovered from dengue, which left him with terrible eye sight. His Story is Pretty Miraculous nad they re just tryin to stay afloat and keep on swimming. I call him Iron man because of the scares and surgury on his chest, and all that he has been through. He calls me superman, because I am always in a suit and tie and wear glasses. But they asked if I could help reach out so I told them to send their story to the right people. If you know anyone who can help please Contact Jacqueline Domingo Vinarao Castro or myself.
