FAQ: When flying, am I allowed to take my oils as carry-on or will I have to pack them in my luggage? And does the Xray machine affect them? Yes, you can bring your essential oils with you as carry-on because the bottles are 5 or 15 ml which is under the 100 ml (3.4 ounces) allowed. I took a trip to Ecuador and had no issues. I took 8 to 10 oils in our carry-on while flying. Here is the TSA Regulation for Liquids & Gels: Must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. Yes the Xray does affect the oils temporarily. According to Gary Young and Dr. Bruce Taino, BOTH the frequency of the oils AND that of the human body are affected whether they are in the carry-on or checked luggage. Gary and Dr. Taino checked the frequencies of both the oils and of Gary himself and found that the radiation DOES lower the frequency of the oils AND of people, but both returned to normal within 24 hours. It helps to roll the bottle of oil in-between your hands for about a minute. Actually that is a good practice to have before you apply oils to yourself or anyone else. Gary has often said that the Young Living essential oils are capable of holding INTEND because they are truly LIVING oils.
