FAREWELL MORGANTOWN Salaam Alaykum! My beloved brothers and sisters in Islam! As some of you are already aware that December will be my final month as Imam in the Morgantown area, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude and beg your leave. I came to Morgantown way back in 1999 as a student at WVU and immediately fell in love with the Masjid and the Muslim community in Morgantown. This community welcomed me with arms wide open, shared in my grief and happiness, helped me grow as a human and a Muslim and showered me with so much love and brotherhood that I cannot express in words my feelings. Now that I am leaving I want to thank each and every one of you for your continuous support, advice and love. I also want to let you all know that I love you all for the sake of the Most Merciful. I am not worthy of what the Lord of the heavens has given me and being part of this wonderful community was one of His great favors upon me. I have been actively involved in the community with MSA, TRUTH, ICM, Department of Religious Studies at WVU, West Virginia Cricket Club and many more. I am thankful to the most Merciful for giving me the opportunity to serve the community and His beautiful religion that has personally transformed me as a person. This being said, I have made hundreds if not thousands of mistakes while saying what I said and acting the way I did. For all those mistakes I apologize to all of you and hope that you will forgive me and overlook my shortcomings. Anything good that I was able to achieve was from the Most Merciful Lord and anything contrary to that was from Satan and the evil of my soul. Now that I am leaving for Lansing, MI I beg your leave and request for sincere dua (prayers) for your dua will bring the much needed help of the Most Merciful One for me and my family.
