FAST TO BE HEALTHY...( NOT SIMPLY A DEPRIVATION FROM FOOD) Islam wants a Muslim to be healthy, clean, alert, agile &energetic. Fasting helps a person to firm up his will, cultivate & refine his taste & manners. Fasting is effective treatment for psychlological & emotional disorders. Fasting helps restoring youthfulness & longevity, Fasting is ideal to maintain weight. Brief...During Ramdhan our diet should be simple Consider slow & fast digesting foods. Avoid Fried & fatty foods Avoid too much tea at sehri.Tea makes to urinate more & leads to loss of fluids. Take extra fluids to prevent kidney stones. Drink extra water or fluids or juices between iftar & bedtime to maintain fluid levels. Acid peptic disease patients need to take medications as per the physicians advise. Diabetics to take antihyperglycaemic agents at iftar to prevent persistent hyperglycemia and consult the family physicians. Wish for your health and smooth days of Ramdhan ahead. Allah bless all.
