FB SS Lesson – Proverbs 16:17-18 “The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” The sin of pride is dangerous. We think we are better than we are. We judge others & become resentful, thinking only of ourselves. We make “self” to be our God, worshiping in subtle ways, rebelling against the Lord by denying His will. Sin finds it seed in selfishness, the sister of pride. God knows what’s going on inside our hearts & minds. He can see right through us. Trust in Him & He will guide us away from pride, not to it. Check yourself!
