FB drummers/percussionists, could use your expertise...lately, a former student of mine has been going through these VF 85As like water...its kind of unusual. I dont necessarily think its about technique...?! This is a pic of todays damage and notice how theyre pretty much split in the exact same spot, more or less. According to him, the band does play at a nice volume but, this seems a bit extreme. My gut tells me it could possibly be a bad batch of sticks...then again, Ive only been drumming professionally for 40 years. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated...I dont even go through this when using the VF 85As.
