FEMI KUTI JOINS 2FACE ON MUSIC MEETS RUNWAY. Grammy award nominee and Afro-beat icon, Femi Kuti will be headlining this year’s edition of Music Meets Runway alongside multiple award winning Afro-pop star 2face Idibia. The other eight acts will be announced at a later date. Fans of both music giants will be awed as both icons will be performing alongside other top acts at this year’s ‘iconic’ edition of the show. Femi Kuti, the son of the legendary king of Afro-beat who has successfully swelled the fan base of one of Africa’s most popular genres still remains one of the biggest acts Nigeria can boast of. 2Face Idibia on the other hand will be making his debut on the stage of Music Meets Runway as one of the iconic acts. The event, which is being put together by Le Reve has featured impressive collection of artistes in the past including D’banj, Naeto C, Davido, Wizkid, Kswitch, Duncan Mighty, Dprince and many others. The organisers has unveiled 6 iconic designers that will be on the runway: Mai Atafo, Okunoren twins, Ituen Basi, Lisa by Jewel, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Deola Sagoe. These iconic designers are some of the established home designers who are trailblazers and internationally recognized with several awards, reputable brand partnerships and participation in fashions shows both local and international to their credit. Music Meets Runway in the last two years has created a niche and brand in promoting talents in the music and fashion industries by fusing musical with runway. Speaking on the upcoming event and the artistes, Jennifer Olize, CEO of Le Reve event said “This year’s edition will go beyond expectation because of the iconic touches that will be added to it.
