FIELDSCOPE WEBINAR - TUESDAY March 25, 2014 This is an important program for those involved in MAEOEs Green School and Green Centers program. This resource provides an interactive map of sustainable (or green) schools in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and surrounding regions. We encourage all schools in MD, VA, WV, PA, NY and DE promoting sustaining practices on school grounds (e.g., composing, rain gardens) to add and regularly update their school information on this map (note you do NOT need any certification or award to add your school). Students, teachers, administrators, policy-makers, parents and others can then use this map to examine the extent of sustainable schools and their tremendous impacts on environmental health in our region. The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Appalachian Laboratory developed this resource in collaboration with National Geographic, Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education, and other regional partners and with funding from the NOAA-BWET program.
