FINAL VOTE ON CLASS RANK - Thursday, Nov. 14 6:30 pm Lane Auditorium, 2nd floor, County Office Building 401 McIntire Road (corner of Preston and McIntire) The Albemarle County School Board will decide at its Nov. 14 meeting whether to continue reporting class rank. Unless otherwise modified, the new policy will take effect for the 2014-15 graduating class. Administration officials have advised against changing the class rank policy this year because many early action transcripts have already been sent to colleges; however, it is possible to send amended transcripts. The School Board may elect to accept or reject the administrations recommendation. Several Board members have stated that they remain undecided on this issue. If you would like your opinion heard, please consider speaking at the meeting this Thursday. The signup sheet for public comment is available from 6-6:30 pm; public comments begin at 6:50 pm.
