FINALLY! Good news from Tacloban! Just talked to my first cousin Cherry Acebedo, daughter of Boy Acebedo, my mas older brother. They are all fine, but they are running out of food and Tito Boy needs anti-tetanus shots badly (he was wounded by the debris). (FYI for relatives) The Acebedo building on Gomez cor Zamora Sts. still stands but both Acebedo Optical branches in the downtown area are wiped out, nothing spared, nothing saved (not the auto refractometer, not a single frame nor lens), including Ate Roses new car (fully submerged). But never mind material things, whats important is they are all okay, especially the kids! Thank you, Lord! Praise God! Now if only we can get info on my Lopez grandaunts Lola Pacing and Lola Milagring, both 90+ years old, and know theyre safe. ***
