FIRE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO THE DISCOVERY OF MARIJUANA GROW Frankfort, Ind. – December 8, 2014 – Approximately one dozen marijuana plants were located after the Frankfort Fire Department responded to a chimney fire in the 1500 block of E. Kelley Road Saturday night. According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, during the course of their investigation firefighters located what appeared to be marijuana grow on the second floor of the residence. After a thorough investigation, officers arrested homeowner, Beau D. Seals (33) on preliminary charges of Dealing Marijuana (Level 6 Felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (B Misdemeanor), Possession of Hash Oil (B Misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor). “Firefighters and police alike never know what to expect when responding to a scene. This is a clear example of the Police and Fire Departments working together. I commend the firefighters for locating the grow”, Bacon said. The Indiana State Police assisted in the collection of plant material and equipment. Seals was transported to the Clinton County Jail.
