FLIRTS IN SKIRTS 2014 The third annual Flirts In Skirts fun spiel was held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Glooscap Curling Club. This was a day of fun, frivolity, costumes and shot making. A good time was had by all with teams representing Berwick, Greenwood, Wolfville and our own Glooscap Club in attendance. The champion rink for this year hails from the Berwick Curling Club with Skip Gloria Berezowski, and team members Susan Connell, Linda Evans, and Dixie Cress. While there is a first place winner, everyone receives a prize! The winning team for the costumes was the Geisha Girls. Skipped by Carla MacKenzie, with teammates Pat VanZoost, Gina Newcombe and Davina Melanson. The 50/50 draw was won by Gloria Berezowski and the basket of goodies by Barb Leith. This fun spiel involves the work of many from the club, both ladies and gents, and is one that is enjoyed year after year. The costumes are fantastic and continue to amaze everyone with the creativity. Those who come to the club to see the teams and watch the games often do a double take upon first glance.
