FOCUS is hosting public meetings to discuss how opportunity and health are intertwined to make our region a great place to live and work. FOCUS is encouraging the public to come out and share their voices about what they want, hope and wish for in the year 2040. • Thursday, Nov. 7: Two separate meetings will be held at the New Hanover County Executive Development Center, located at 1241 Military Cutoff Road. One meeting’s discussion will focus on the livability principle, opportunity, while the other meeting will focus on health. Participants will be registered at 5:00 PM and each meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Each meeting will last 100 minutes and conclude at 7:10 p.m. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend to share their voices. Child care will be offered at the meetings, and Spanish as Second Language, as well as hearing impaired interpreters will be available on site. FOCUS also offers an online forum for those who would like to continue the conversation outside of the meetings at FOCUSsenc.org/focus-forum.
