FOOD FOR BIRDS When a bird hatches, it stays in the nest knowing her mother goes to get food but the amazing thing is how to accomplish this task. The birds possess a muscular pouch along the esophagus called the crop. The function that is to soften food and regulate its flow through this system to store temporarily. The main process to soften the food begins in the ventricle or gizzard, composed of four muscular bands that rotate and crush the sliding food from one area to another within the gizzard in birds contains some small pieces of sand and stone swallowed by the bird to aid in the grinding process of digestion, serving the function of the teeth. And everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe, but solid food is for those who are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil . Reading the Bible is vitally important, but further study is necessary because the knowledge of the truth sets us free. Let us not be mere hearers of the Bible, but to be doers of His word studying and achieving a proper understanding. For God gives wisdom to those who ask.
