FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Was watchin the Wales v Scotland rugby match on Saturday, when the Scotland full-back was yellow-carded for a bad tackle. For those not familiar with RU rules, this means 10 minutes in the sin bin. As the player left the field the incident was replayed on the giant screen in the stadium, and on watching it the referee decided the tackle was dangerous and warranted a red card, ie dismissal. He called the player back and red-carded him. This has got me wondering, would this work in football? If not, why not? And would the sin bin work in football? Again, if not, why not?
