#FOOTBALL 411: World Football governing body, FIFA has sanction Cape Verdean Football Association (FCF) for fielding an ineligible player in their preliminary match between Tunisia and Cape Verde Islands for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil 2014 on September 7, 2013. The match has now be declared forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Tunisia, meaning that Cape Verde Islands will not progress to the final round of qualification enroute to Brazil 2014 having dropped to second place with nine points in Group B, while Tunisia advance to the play-offs round with 14 points. The FCF has also received a fine of CHF 6,000 after the FIFA Disciplinary Committee considered the FCF liable for having breached art. 55 par. 1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 8 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Regulations.
