DPS penetrates 20 to 30 mm below the concrete surface and chemically reacts with the alkali and lime found in concrete. Over a period of time silica gel membrane hydrates and solidifies into a crystalline structure which results in : (i) Extension of life of concrete structures (ii) Permanent Anti-Carbonation Coating. (iv) Waterproofing of the concrete structure (v) Stoppage of water - borne contaminants like chlorides and acids both on positive and negative sides.
