FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 8, 2014 -- On Thursday, April 10th SiriusXM Urban View personality Joe Madison will be joined by former Sudanese slave and rights activist, Simon Deng along with hundreds of Southern Sudanese for a press conference and rally. The event will begin at 1:30 pm at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, East 47th Street, near Second Avenue in NYC. At 3:00 pm, the protesters will walk to the Ugandan Mission at 336 East 45th Street, which also houses the Southern Sudanese Mission, to deliver their demands for peace, reconciliation and an end to fighting and continued violence. Madison, Deng and others will seek arrest in front of the Ugandan/Southern Sudanese Mission, to draw attention to the plight of South Sudan. Ron Kuby one of the most well-known and well-regarded attorneys in criminal defense and civil rights, and co-host of WABCs Curtis and Kuby will represent those who are arrested at the event.
