Carey, who just signed a contract with the Phoenix Coyotes, led the conference in scoring with eight goals and 27 assists in 22 games. Overall, Carey had 18 goals and 39 assists in 38 games. Union junior Colin Stevens is the Goalie of the Year. In his first year as the No. 1 goalie, Stevens posted a 17-3-1 record with a 1.91 goals-against average, a .929 save percentage and five shutouts. Quinnipiac freshman forward Sam Anas won Rookie of the Year. Anas was the top rookie scorer among forwards with nine goals and 16 assists. Colgate’s Don Vaughan earned Coach of the Year. Vaughan guided the Raiders, a team picked to place ninth in the preseason polls, to a second-place finish with a 13-6-3 record. Union senior Daniel Carr was named the Best Defensive Forward, while teammate Shayne Gostisbehere won Best Defensive Defenseman. The awards were based on league play.
