FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Native American Music Awards 212- 228-8300 NAMALIVE@aol THE GRAY WOLF BLUES BAND TO ROCK THE REZ WITH LOS ANGELES BENEFIT CONCERT Los Angeles, NY - On Sunday, January 26th, NAMA award winners, The Gray Wolf Blues Band, will be holding their annual, Rock The Rez benefit concert at the Good Hurt nightclub on Venice Blvd. in Los Angeles to help raise funds for Winter propane heat purchases for residents of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Other featured performers include Jimmy Lee Young and members of the group Redbone. The Gray Wolf Blues Band recently contributed a song entitled, Song of the Wolf, to a special NAMA benefit CD entitled, WOLF, in an effort to honor and pay tribute to the wolf, especially the Gray Wolf which may become delisted as an endangered species. The WOLF CD which will be available at Rockin The Rez, was released nationally on Thursday, January 16th. The WOLF CD retails for $9.99 and is also available through Amazon and on the NAMA website NAMALIVE both as a digital download or hard copy. WOLF also features songs by various tribal nation voices and wolf clan members including; Jack Gladstone (Blackfeet), Jimmy Lee Young (Mayan) & international Swiss artist Davide Buzzi, Joanne Shenandoah (Oneida), Joe Firecrow (Northern Cheyenne), Lee Plentywolf & The PlentyWolf Singers (Lakota), Jan Michael Looking Wolf (Grand Ronde), Bobby Bullet St Germaine (Lac du Flambeau), Austrian group Big City Indians, world music duo Painted Raven, Rushingwind & Mucklow (Cashuilla/Opata), Silverwolf (Cherokee), Wade Fernandez (Menominee), Cal Silverfoxs (Apache) and The Gray Wolf Blues Band (Yaqui).
