FOR THE EVENING DEGIST SURPRISE ATTACK Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.2 Cor 2:11 Thought for today Every time you give satan attention, he gives you direction and multiplies your affliction. Whenever you know the strength of your enemy, you win the battle easily. The devil uses confusion by the introduction of surprise attack as a means of fighting the children of God. When certain things happen, one becomes amazed and the question that one may be asking is, What am I meant to be doing that I am not doing that invited this fight? It is called the element of surprise. A young pastor who submits to our ministry was once on a twenty-one day fast and on the 7th day, he had a terrible demonic attack. He called me on phone with anger in his heart and said, I cannot be more spiritual than I am now; I dont know the last time I experienced such an attack. Why is it that this attack happened in the middle of such a fast when I am seeking more of Gods power? What authority does the devil have to attack me like that? While he was talking, I began to smile. I told him to relax because he is not more powerful than our Master Jesus who was on a forty day fast yet the devil took Him and lifted Him (Matt. 4:5). However, when you know the strategy of your enemy, you have won the battle. If you manage the surprise attack of the devil very well, the end is always a loss for satan. When he tries to shake your back and you roar back, he becomes the loser. Your response to satanic attack is monitored in the realm of the spirit. The devil watches your reaction to see how much more he can do. I once heard from Papa Oyedepo that he was about to step on the altar one day to preach and they told him about somebody very close to him, that the enemy had just ruined. He replied Alright, if that is the case, I will see you later. He stepped on the altar and began to blast like a man from another world. Every time you give satan attention, he gives you direction and multiplies your affliction. Give no room or impression to the devil to rejoice that he is winning. Remember this: every time you give satan attention, he gives you direction and multiplies your affliction Prayer Lord, help me always to be ready for any surprise attack, in Jesus Name. Give me the grace, Lord, not to lose any battle of my life, in Jesus Name.
