FOR THE MOMENTS OF THIS DAY: Friends and Family, as most of you didn’t know, Pat, Pastor Cooper and Wife, Shirley Cooper’s oldest son, was diagnosed with Cervical Cranial Dystonia in 2010 (basically Parkinson’s but only from the neck up). This condition caused him to stop working and driving October 2012. Over the last year and a half he has been following protocol for the treatment of this condition. The next step is brain surgery. They were at St. Luke’s registering him for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery yesterday. He had an MRI then as well under sedation, to mark off his brain for the surgery on Tuesday. His surgery is scheduled today, March 11 at 8:00 A. M... If all goes as expected, he should go home by Wednesday evening. Can you imagine? Two holes drilled into his skull to get to his brain and he can go home within 24-48 hours! Medical science is awesome, but God is the Navigator in all things!!! Both Pat and wife and children are excited about the possibilities this surgery will bring. We will post updates. I was not able to make the trip to Houston, Doctors orders, however, his Dad and brother Tony is there with Grace...Certainly we, His Mom, Dad and siblings and entire family also expect God to deliver whatever it is that this surgery is to do and for those of us who could not be there, our prayers will go forth in our stead as will each of yours!...You all must know that I desire to be there with my child, but I trust God to do what Must be done there and hold me together here...Please remember me as you pray also.
