::FOR THE NIGHT OWLS:: I preached at Urban Hope tonight (AJ Johnson) from the thought Dont Forget About The Cross (I Corinthians 1:18). Its foolishness, the preaching of the cross, to them that are perishing. But to the saved its the power of God. The angels saw how powerful God was (and is) and they couldnt fathom why this Powerful, Almighty, All-Knowing God would allow his creation to overtake him. They desired to look into the manifold wisdom of God, to see what is it about man that God would be this mindful of him. He allowed them to mock him, spit in his face, smash a thorny crown on his head, beat him till his internal organs showed. Drive spikes into his hands and feet..and many wont even tell God thank you for what they ALREADY have and what God ALREADY did! They wont preach the cross on the Christian networks. Theyre too busy begging for your money. They wont preach it till the bunny season. Too many are into the gurus of today, and all this philosophy and new age garbage. But the cross is the ONLY thing that could help you, would help you, and did help you! If Jesus didnt humble himself and take OUR place, wed STILL be lost! Dont you EVER forget the cross!
