FORMER 1960s CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER, FOUNDER AND LATER, CHAIRMAN OF THE STUDENT NONVIOLENT COORDINATING COMMITTEE (SNCC) NEEDS OUR HELP IN GETTING MUCH NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION A former civil rights advocate who helped us win many of the civil rights we often, now take for granted needs our help. Imam Jamil Al-Amin, aka H. Rap Brown was a founder and later chairman of the Student NonViolent Coordinating Committee. We have been made aware that the results of diagnostic tests taken last month reveal that Imam Jamil is suffering from multiple myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells). His spirits remain high and he sends greetings of peace and thanks to all who have and are advocating on his behalf. May Allah give him patience and ease his suffering. Regardless of what is going on with his battle with the US justice system, Imam Jamil has the human right to quality health care and it is imperative that he immediately be moved to a facility that can provide the high quality and specialty care that his condition requires. This is our advocacy. OUR ADVOCACY: As is his right, Mr. Jamil Al-Amin (#99974-555) should immediately be moved to a facility qualified and staffed to treat his diagnosed and life-threatening medical condition: multiple mycloma (blood cancer). OVERWHELMING AND IMMEDIATE RESPONSE NEEDED NOW! NOTE: Include Jamil Al-Amin #99974-555 in all correspondence and messages.
