FOUND SAFE: I want to thank EVERYONE for all your prayers, advice, support and help in looking for Gellyza yesterday. It was a grueling day for me and the family. And just to clarify who Gellyza is to me, she is like my daughter. My ex-husband and I got custody of her when she was 2 weeks old. She is my ex-husbands biological grandchild but we raised her as our own. She lived with me for the first 7 years of her life. She then went to live with her paternal grandparents in Austin, but I maintain custody of her and we have been very involved in her life. We found her late last night in probably one of the worst , if not the worst part of Austin. Things could have turned out much worse, so we are very thankful they did not. God heard all your prayers and kept her safe, especially in an environment that could have easily taken her down a very tragic path. Gellyza has some issues that need addressed. It is very very sad and I do worry about her future. I am just hoping with the right therapy and guidance, her life can and will be the very best for her. I am very sorry that many of you spent your day doing all you could in finding her instead of preparing for the Holiday. I know it put a kink in your Holiday plans but just know it is MUCH appreciated! I have to also thank Chuck Foreman, who drove into Austin last night from Lockhart to help us get her. He is one of my colleagues who dedicates his life to finding missing people. He is the Founder of CFSI, Center for Search and Investigations. He was able to get information last night that we had tried to gain all day. No one was hurt, she is ok and now everyone can enjoy their Christmas. Enjoy your family this Holiday, as we never what life is going to throw us. I appreciate all of you and it warms my heart as to how many wonderful people I have in my life.
