FREE BEER!! The Tahoe 200 Spooner summit bar/aid station will be open Saturday, September 6 through Sunday, September 7. Come enjoy a beverage while manning the aid station and supporting the runners for the first ever 200 mile mountain run in the US. This aid station has easy drive up access (at the intersection of Hwy 50 and 28 on the East Shore of lake Tahoe – Start/Finish for the TRT 50/100), and provides access to some classic Tahoe runs, including the Flume trail if you want to get a few miles in before or after your shift. PLUS, you get to laugh at the misery of the runners (runners?) trudging through at mile 128, and tell them, “Only 81 miles to go!!”. In addition to Aid Station volunteers, the run is looking for good people as EMTs, course markers, sweeps, mountain chefs, and many other needs throughout the week of Sept 2-9.
