About Thaddeus Phillips Thaddeus Phillips (Creation, Production Design) is a theater artist originally from Denver, Colorado. His most recent work, Red-Eye to Havre de Grace, an action-opera about the last days of E.A. Poe, was called by the New York Times a feast of entrancing visual allurements, this exquisite show is among the most original musical theater works Ive seen in years. With Lucidity Suitcase Intercontinental, he has directed Red-Eye to Havre de Grace, WHaLE OPTICS, ¡EL CONQUISTADOR!, The Melting Bridge, Capsule 33, Flamingo/Winnebago & Lost Soles. Phillips original theatrical work has been presented Off-Broadway (Barrow Street Theatre and New York Theatre Workshop) and at Festivals and theaters in New York (La Mama, Here, Ps122), Seattle, Albuquerque, New Orleans, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Miami, Tampa, and internationally in Spain (Festival de Otono), México (Escena de Artes), Holland (Noorderzon Festival), Colombia (Teatro Nacional), Czech Republic (4 + 4 Days Festival), Italy (Spoleto Off Festival), Costa Rica (Teatro Jaco), Slovenia (Mladi Levi), Ireland (International Fringe Festival), England (Arcola Theatre), Scotland (Traverse) and Serbia (Serijino Pozorje). Phillips trained at DAMU in Prague and with Encho Avramov and the Czech director Josef Krofta and has worked as an actor and writer in Robert Lepages The Geometry of Mircales in which he performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Royal National Theater (London), Festvial du Autome (Paris), Sinapore Arts Festival, and at the Tramway (Glasgow). He appeared in the documentary Digging for Miracles by In Extrimis Images (Montreal) and the Colombian movie Mi Gente Linda, Mi Gente Bella and is currently filming Alias El Mexicano (Ellis Mackenzie/Barry Seal); El Capo 3 (Frank Ricota) two new series for to air on MundoFOX in the USA in 2014. Future projects include: Alias Ellis MacKenzie, a film version of ¡El Conquistador!, tour of Red-Eye and a revival of Flamingo/Winnebago.
