This term is sometimes used when a colour is settling. For some clients, whitening will continue and teeth will get whiter during 24/48 hours following treatment. For others a half shade or full shade rebound is not uncommon. Immediately following the treatment, the enamel is dehydrated. Colour rebound/relapse is caused by enamel re-hydration. If I have veneers, bonding or caps, will this treatment still whiten my teeth? If your veneers, bonding or caps are visible when you smile you should look at alternative options available, as matching the colour on any of the above is unlikely.
