FRIDAY, 04 OCTOBER 2013 13:20 New Dunfermline Date Set WRITTEN BY ANDREW DICKSON New Dunfermline Date Set RANGERS’ cancelled league meeting with Dunfermline has been rearranged for Wednesday, November 6. The game was postponed yesterday morning because the Light Blues will be without at least three senior players next weekend due to international call-ups. An application to have the match put off was submitted on Wednesday following Lee Wallace’s inclusion in the 24-man Scotland squad to face Croatia a week on Tuesday. That came after Lewis Macleod had also been picked by Scotland under-21 coach Billy Stark for games with Slovakia and Georgia and Arnold Peralta had been chosen by Honduras. They meet Costa Rica and Jamaica in World Cup qualifiers later this month which could see his country reach the World Cup finals in Brazil next summer. The Pars clash had been due to take place next Saturday, with the match kicking off at 5.30pm because of live TV coverage. Now it will take place on November 6 at 7.45pm and as things stand, that’s the next competitive game at Ibrox in a run of three home fixtures in 10 days. That will change, however, if Gers are drawn at home in the third round of the Scottish Cup. The draw for that stage takes place on Monday afternoon.
